Head of EMEA Media Relations
CBRE Investment Management ("CBRE IM") has appointed Bert Hesselink as EMEA Customer Relationship Management Logistics Lead, reinforcing the firm's commitment to delivering a best-in-class occupier experience across its European logistics platform.
Hesselink will play a central role in strengthening relationships with occupiers across CBRE IM's logistics portfolio, helping businesses identify real estate solutions that support their operational and growth requirements. Working closely with local asset management, leasing and operating teams, he will serve as a strategic partner to occupiers, providing a gateway to CBRE IM's broader capabilities across logistics, retail and office sectors.
Hesselink joins CBRE IM from CTP, where he held senior client relationship responsibilities and worked closely with occupiers across Europe to help address increasingly complex supply chain, manufacturing and distribution requirements. He brings more than two decades of international real estate experience and a strong track record of building strategic occupier partnerships.
The appointment reflects CBRE IM's continued focus on its specialist investor-operator model, combining deep sector expertise, local market presence and global scale to create long-term value for operator and investor clients. With more than €17 billion logistics assets under management* across Europe, comprising approximately 8.4 million sq m of logistics space and serving over 1,700 occupiers, CBRE IM is one of Europe's largest logistics investment managers.
Bert's role will further strengthen the firm's ability to anticipate customer needs, identify opportunities across markets and support occupiers as they expand, consolidate or optimise their real estate footprints.
Laurie Lagarde, Head of EMEA Logistics Operator Division at CBRE Investment Management, said: "Our scale gives us reach, but our sector specialisation and operating model are what make the difference. We operate one of Europe's largest logistics platforms, serving more than 1,700 occupiers across multiple countries, and we know that understanding customer needs is fundamental to delivering long term value.
Bert's experience working with occupiers across Europe will help us deepen those relationships and ensure the insights we gain continue to inform our investment decisions, asset management strategies and customer solutions as our logistics platform continues to grow."
Commenting on his appointment, Bert Hesselink said: "CBRE IM has built one of Europe's leading logistics platforms through a combination of local expertise, market intelligence and a customer-first mindset. Occupiers increasingly need partners who understand not only their real estate needs, but also the wider trends shaping their businesses and supply chains. I am excited to join the team and help strengthen those relationships while supporting customers across a diverse range of markets and sectors."
