CBRE Investment Management has appointed Rocio Oriol as Senior Director, Private Infrastructure Investments in its Global Indirect Private Infrastructure team. She will play an integral role in managing the investment process for CBRE Investment Management’s (CBRE IM’s) new and existing global infrastructure assets and funds.
Based in London, Rocio will report to Lee Anderson, Head of Indirect Private Infrastructure.
Rocio joins from AltamarCAM Partners, where she was a founding member of the firm’s infrastructure team. She was instrumental in developing the team’s investment strategy and focused on driving infrastructure investments across both primary and secondary transactions, as well as co-investments across OECD territories. Prior to this, Rocio worked at Infracapital where she originated and executed direct investments in core and core plus infrastructure.
Rocio will have responsibility for sourcing, due diligence, closing and managing global indirect infrastructure investments for CBRE IM’s indirect business. She will lead the screening and evaluation of new fund, co-investment, secondary and minority direct investment opportunities to determine suitability for CBRE IM infrastructure mandates. This will be in addition to managing the performance of CBRE IM’s existing portfolios, working closely with investment partners to achieve superior risk adjusted performance.
“We are excited to welcome Rocio to our Global Indirect Private Infrastructure team,” said Andreas Köttering, Head of Europe Private Infrastructure at CBRE IM. “She brings invaluable experience as we continue to manage and build diversified portfolios of infrastructure assets via funds and joint ventures that deliver resilient long-term low-risk returns for our clients. From analysing investment opportunities to overseeing the successful running of our global portfolios, she will work with colleagues across the business as we look to achieve our objectives and take advantage of attractive infrastructure investment opportunities.”
