Professional Experience
Vikas Puri is the Global Head of Data Engineering at CBRE Investment Management, based in the New York City metropolitan area. He leads the firm’s global data strategy, data engineering, and data cloud platform organizations, with a strong emphasis on driving AI‑enabled data efficiency. CBRE Investment Management is a global leader in real asset management, dedicated to delivering sustainable investment solutions.
Prior to joining CBRE IM in November 2024, Vikas served as Head of Data Strategy, Engineering, Cloud, and Analytics at PGIM Fixed Income. In this role, he defined and executed a comprehensive cloud data vision, led the strategy and development of the organization’s first cloud‑based data platform, and drove strategic investments in data technologies to enable product innovation and market expansion.
Earlier in his career, Vikas held senior leadership roles in data and analytics at Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Bear Stearns, where he led multiple large‑scale transformation initiatives spanning data, analytics, pricing, and risk management. His experience includes building global data and analytics platforms, leading large, distributed teams, and delivering operational efficiency through innovative data solutions.
Vikas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, India.
