Takahiko Kawahara is and the Deputy Head of Investment – Commercial & Residential for Japan. Based in Tokyo, he is responsible for the management and oversight of strategic business plans to maximise returns for the Firm’s investment in Japan.
Takahiko joined CBRE Investment Management in 2017. He began his career in the real estate industry in 2000. Prior to joining the firm, he was the deputy general manager in the real estate finance division with Shinsei Bank for a 10-year career where he financed over JPY 100 billion of office, residence, retail, hotel and logistics properties annually. Prior to Shinsei Bank, he worked for LaSalle Investment Management for three years where he invested over JPY 100 billion in office and retail properties. He started his career as a real estate appraiser in 2000.
Takahiko holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from Gakushuin University in Tokyo, Japan. He is fluent in English and Japanese.
