Professional Experience
Rik Eertink is President and Chief Investment Officer of EMEA Direct Real Estate at CBRE Investment Management, responsible for leading the integrated Investor, Operator and Operation pillars for the region.
Rik oversees more than €40 billion in European direct real estate and is responsible for investment strategy, performance and execution—including transactions, asset management, (re)development and asset finance. Rik serves on the firm’s global Executive Committee and chairs EMEA’s Management and Investment Committees.
Over the past five years in his role as President, Rik and his team have completed more than €25 billion in transactions, invested over €1.6 billion in capex to reposition assets and secured more than €13 billion in financing across the region.
Rik joined CBRE Investment Management in 2004. He previously managed flagship retail and diversified funds with over €4 billion in AUM and has held leadership roles in asset and country management across Europe, giving him a broad perspective on market dynamics and client needs.
Committed to industry leadership, Rik serves as a Global Governing Trustee for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), providing strategic guidance and mentoring future leaders. He has been an active member of ICSC since 2011.
Rik holds a postgraduate Master of Real Estate from the University of Amsterdam and a Master’s in Real Estate & Housing from Delft University.
