Nathan Zinn is Portfolio Manager for the U.S. Development Fund series for CBRE Investment Management, including CBRE U.S. Development Partners 5 and the Wood Development Funds. He also serves as Portfolio Manager for a $3.3 billion diversified separate account that has delivered consistent performance in excess of the NCREIF NFI-ODCE Index. Nathan is a member of the Americas Leadership Board.
Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management in 2014, Nathan was a Senior Investment Manager at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. In that role, he was responsible for approximately $4 billion in real assets portfolio exposure, with investments in public and private real estate equity, CMBS, and high-yield CRE debt. Nathan’s commingled fund relationships at TRS spanned several core and value-add apartment strategies.
Nathan began his career in the real estate industry in 1997. He has held positions with LaSalle Investment Management, Hewitt EnnisKnupp, and JLL. At LaSalle, Nathan was a sector specialist for residential portfolio management and assisted the firm’s Research Team in the development of their target apartment markets. He also represented the firm at the National Multifamily Housing Council and in other industry forums.
Nathan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
