Marcel Theebe is Head of Global Real Assets Forecasting for CBRE Investment Management. Based in Amsterdam, Marcel oversees a team responsible for the forecasting which is the foundation of the firm’s real estate investment outlooks. Marcel’s team also creates the modeling for various forecasts globally, as well as bespoke research-based model portfolios and quantitative analyses. Marcel also oversees the firm’s Information Center.
Marcel joined CBRE Investment Management (then ING Real Estate Investment Management) in 2002, first as senior researcher focused on European office markets and quantitative research, later as manager of capital market research and director of research analytics.
Marcel is affiliated with the University of Amsterdam as assistant professor in Real Estate Finance. He also acts as lecturer in several executive education programs in the Netherlands and Belgium and is co-author of the leading textbook on real estate investments in the Dutch language.
Marcel earned a PhD in Real Estate Finance from the University of Amsterdam and a Master in Business Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with a specialization in quantitative finance.
