Manu Chopra

Manu Chopra is the General Counsel for CBRE Investment Management’s Indirect and EMEA Direct Real Estate Strategies. Based in London, Manu has overall responsibility for the management of the strategies’ Legal, Risk and Compliance teams. He also assists all jurisdictions within the firm on English law matters.

Manu joined CBRE Investment Management in 2012. He commenced his legal career in 2001 working as a Corporate M&A lawyer for the international law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner representing clients such as Tesco, Macquarie, Schroders, LaSalle Investment Management, Great Portland Estates, Hines, Balfour Beatty, Vinci and YOO.

Manu is a qualified solicitor and, following earning his Bachelor of Laws degree, earned a Master of Arts by Research degree in Financial Services Regulation from the International Institute of Banking and Financial Services at Leeds University Business School.

He is an FCA Approved Person, a Senior Manager under the FCA’s Senior Managers & Certification Regime and holds the SMF3 (Executive Director) Function.
