Professional Experience
Julianna (Julie) Ingersoll joined CBRE Investment Management in October 2021 as Chief Investment Officer for the Americas Direct Real Estate business, with the overall responsibility for the investment strategy, portfolio management and analytics of over $29 billion in AUM (as of December 2025). She chairs the Americas Direct Real Estate Investment Committee and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Global Sustainability Council.
Julie joined the firm from CPP Investments, a C$500 billion Canadian Pension Plan, where she was a Managing Director overseeing portfolio strategy design and execution for 50 million square feet of U.S. residential and retail investments. At CPP, she focused on core-plus, value-add and development risk profiles leading efforts across the investment lifecycle including identifying new strategies, originating and structuring joint ventures, acquisitions, asset management and dispositions.
Julie was previously CEO & COO of RREEF Property Trust, a core diversified open-end fund, and held senior positions at DWS (formerly known as RREEF), part of the asset management arm of Deutsche Bank, in portfolio management and business development.
Prior to joining RREEF, she held various positions with Deutsche Bank in Mortgage-Backed Securities and the in-house M&A team. Julie joined Deutsche Bank in June 2001 as an analyst in the Investment Banking team.
In 2024 Julie was recognized as a GlobeSt. CRE Women of Influence and named the North American Industry Figure of the Year for Private Equity Real Estate (PERE).
Currently, she serves on the ULI UDMUC Silver Council, the advisory board of the CBRE Women’s Network, and the board of NAREIM, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers.
Julie graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University.
