Professional Experience
Jay Miller is Co-Portfolio Manager for CBRE Investment Management’s U.S. direct core strategy. Based in Los Angeles, Jay is jointly responsible for portfolio design and strategy, decision-making across acquisitions, asset management, dispositions and financings, and oversight of investments.
Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management in 2026, Jay served as the Chief Investment Officer for Forum Investment Group and was responsible for firmwide investment strategy, capital allocation and investment governance for a diversified residential real estate investment platform. He also spent more than 15 years at DWS/RREEF, including seven years as Co-Lead Portfolio Manager of the firm's ODCE core real estate fund. In that role, he co-led investment strategy, portfolio construction, capital allocation and risk management across a diversified national real estate portfolio. Jay began his career in the industry in 1996.
Jay earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law. Jay served as an Executive Board Member on the Real Estate & Construction Council for City of Hope National Medical Center.
