Professional Experience
David Makowicz is the Managing Director, Listed Business Development Strategist for the CBRE IM platform. In this capacity, David focuses upon business development activities for the listed real assets business and investor service functions across private/public real asset investment platform. He serves as a supervising principal for registered representatives. In addition, David serves as a member of the Listed Real Assets executive management team and sits on the Management Committee.
David joined the predecessor firm of CBRE Investment Management’s Real Assets business in 2006. Prior to that, he led business development and operations for a $12 billion U.S. mutual fund trust at SEI Investments.
Prior to his civilian career, he served as a naval flight officer in the U.S. Navy for eight years in various operational and managerial roles achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. David has over 20 years of financial industry experience.
David earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University.
