Cathy Chan

Cathy Chan serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for CBRE Investment Management’s APAC region. Based in Singapore, Cathy oversees all legal and compliance matters for the region, including fund formations, investments, litigation and regulatory affairs. She also works alongside senior management and business leaders to provide advice on the implementation of strategic objectives and business plans.

Prior to joining the firm in January 2020, Cathy worked as a solicitor for law firms King & Wood Mallesons and Baker & McKenzie. She has also undertaken a secondment at private equity firm KKR and worked at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission.

Cathy obtained her LLM degree from the University of New South Wales and is a registered solicitor with the New South Wales Law Society. She began her legal career in 2005.
