Professional Experience
Antonio Simontalero is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for one of CBRE Investment Management’s European commingled funds and is responsible for responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fund's operations, including transactions, asset management, and strategic planning. He leads the acquisition and disposition of assets, ensuring optimal portfolio performance and alignment with investment objectives. Antonio also serves as the Country Manager for Spain and Portugal.
Antonio joined CBRE Investment Management in 2005 (formerly ING Real Estate) and has held several senior roles in asset management and financial/debt management. His previous positions include Fund Manager of a specialized vehicle investing in shopping centers in Spain and Portugal, as well as the firm’s European Shopping Center Series, investing in retail properties across seven European countries.
Prior to CBRE Investment Management, Antonio spent six years in the consulting industry, working with McKinsey & Co. in the Financial Institutions sector and Andersen Consulting in the Consumer Goods sector.
Antonio holds a double degree in Business Administration (with a major in Finance) and Law from ICADE (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas). He is a CFA Charterholder and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
