Adrian Baker
Chief Investment Officer – APAC Direct Real Estate Strategies and President – APAC Real Estate Division
Adrian Baker serves as Chief Investment Officer – APAC Direct Real Estate Strategies and President – APAC Real Estate Division for CBRE Investment Management. He is responsible for all direct real estate investment strategies and activities across the Asia Pacific region. In addition, he is the Fund Manager of Asia Value Partners, the region’s value-add fund series.
Adrian enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the business to source, filter and execute acquisitions that offer exceptional value to clients. He is passionate about giving investors access to unique opportunities they rarely see elsewhere.
Adrian began his career in real estate in 1997, investing globally but primarily focused on Asia Pacific. Adrian has extensive experience in direct real estate. He worked in building engineering and property management before transitioning to asset and fund management, executing strategies across direct, indirect and listed portfolios for institutional clients. His skills and expertise cover a wide range of sectors including office, retail, industrial, as well as more niche property types.
Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management in 2007, Adrian served as a Fund Manager at AMP Capital Investors, first in Sydney and then in Singapore, where he managed over $3 billion in global assets and led a team of asset managers.
Adrian earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Technology, Sydney.
