CBRE Global Investors Hires Heidi Learner as Americas Head of Real Assets Research

CBRE Global Investors today announced that Heidi Learner has joined the investment management firm as the Americas Head of Real Assets Research. This role formally acknowledges the expansion of the firm’s platform to include infrastructure as well as real estate, and the extension of the Americas team to cover Canada in addition to the U.S.
Ms. Learner will be tasked with further raising the level of the firm’s analysis, forecasting and transaction support across the public and private real assets spectrum, including both equity and debt. Ms. Learner’s extensive experience in macroeconomics and financial markets will add to the firm’s ability to measure real assets performance in a multi-asset context, supporting our Solutions efforts. Her appointment is the final part of a thoughtfully executed handover of responsibilities from Doug Herzbrun, Chairman of Global Research, who will retire on July 1, 2020.

Ms. Learner joins CBRE Global Investors from Savills, where she served as Chief Economist since 2012 and the firm’s thought leader.

Ms. Learner holds dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from The Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science. She additionally holds a master’s degree in mathematics from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.
