Vance Maddocks serves as non-executive Vice Chairman of the Americas Real Estate Division for CBRE Investment Management. In this role, Vance is a voting member on the Americas Investment Committee and a strategic advisor to the CBRE Investment Management CEO and to his successor as President of the Americas Real Estate Division. In his previous role as President, Vance was responsible for all elements of investment execution in the Americas, including acquisition, disposition, asset management, development, redevelopment and asset finance.

Vance previously served as CEO and CIO for the Americas. He is the founder of Strategic Partners U.S. and served as head of the platform from 2000 to 2018. Between 2007 and 2010, Vance also served as Global CEO. During his tenure as Global CEO, Vance enhanced the firm's corporate governance, risk management and investment practices creating greater consistency and discipline in decision-making. He also created the CBRE Investment Management Global Green Initiative, which has led numerous properties worldwide to be certified based on local sustainability standards.

Vance joined CBRE in 1984 and is a three-time recipient of the CBRE Chairman’s Award for Leadership. In 2006, he received the company’s highest honor, the Edward S. Gordon Award, for his distinguished service and deal-making capability. He was the second recipient of this prestigious award in the history of the company.

Vance earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from California State University, Northridge.
