Arnold Roest, CFA

Arnold Roest is a Senior Director and Head of Investment Analytics for CBRE Investment Management’s Americas Direct Real Estate business. In this role, Arnold is responsible for all aspects of financial analysis for commercial acquisitions and operations for the Americas and is charged with the supervision and training of financial analysts, including the maintenance and enforcement of underwriting standards and procedures for acquisitions, internal valuations and dispositions.

Arnold reviews all financial underwriting prior to the presentation of acquisition and disposition recommendations to the investment committee and assists the America’s acquisitions, asset management and portfolio management teams in underwriting, analysis, presentation, due diligence and closing of transactions.

Arnold joined CBRE Investment Management in 1990 and has extensive experience in the financial analysis of joint ventures, development transactions and Excel discounted cash flow analysis. He leads the firm's implementation and maintenance of Argus Enterprise, the industry standard real estate valuation software.

Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management, Arnold started his real estate career in 1988 at The Codman Company in Boston.

Arnold has a degree in Economics and Accounting from Pieter Nieuwland College in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In addition, he has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and The Boston Security Analyst Society, Inc.
