Andreas Köttering is head of the European infrastructure investment practice for CBRE Investment Management's Private Infrastructure business. He is based in London and is responsible for sourcing investments in Europe, negotiating partnerships and acquisitions, as well as for supporting investor relations initiatives with European clients. He also is a member of the Private Infrastructure Investment Committee.
Andreas joined the firm in 2018 and has over 25 years of experience in infrastructure. Prior to joining the firm, he was most recently Co-Head of Infrastructure Europe for GIC in London, and before that, Managing Director, Infrastructure EMEA, for CPPIB. He led investments in gas transport, renewables, oil storage, telecoms and Italian core infrastructure assets. Andreas also sat on the boards of Wales & West Utilities, Anglian Water and Budapest Airport. Earlier in his career, Andreas worked as a merchant banker for Schroders and Citi, providing M&A and capital markets advice to clients in the infrastructure and utilities sectors. In addition, he held positions as a principal investor at Siemens in Germany and Hong Kong, and as a project finance banker for KfW in Frankfurt.
Andreas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the London School of Economics before attending St Antony’s College, Oxford University, where he obtained a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and a D. Phil.
