The European Recovery Fund & Impacts on Real Estate Allocations

The European Commission has underscored its commitment to revive Europe with a €1.85tn investment fund, and joined forces with the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and Next Generation EU (NGEU) to finance the plan. There was an air of healthy competition across Europe this spring as its member countries made their case ahead of the 30th April 2021 European recovery fund submission deadline. And while we are yet to see the full fund allocation, there’s everything to play for: discretionary disbursements will be based on EU27 members’ progress ahead of set objectives.
