This position is part of a global project team being established to commence a large-scale application configuration and implementation project at CBRE Investment Management. The focus of this role is to lead the planning and ongoing oversight of the project including the project governance framework, communications plan, and performance reporting from initiation through to closure of the project.  Additionally, the Project Manager will administer the Steering Committee activities, including meetings, approvals, and reporting. To be successful in this role the candidate will need to quickly build collaborative relationships with the business sponsor, Steering Committee members, SMEs and project team and establish clear lines of decision making and communication between these stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements project governance framework and ensures project team understand and observe the agreed governance procedures and project methodology
  • Project initiation and scoping, including definition of project objectives, setting and managing realistic expectations for successful delivery with project stakeholders 
  • Oversight and performance reporting of project status, meetings, reporting, change management, scope changes, financials, administrative, and technical issues
  • Proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies and escalate appropriately 
  • Drafting and maintaining project articles and tools (Project plan, scope,  
  • Lead the planning of the communications, testing exercises, training activities 
  • Coordinates between Digital & Technology, Data Governance, Analytics, Marketing & Communications, Finance teams to ensure all contributors to the project are informed and executing their responsibilities to the project plan
  • Managing internal and external senior stakeholders through Steering Committees and ad-hoc proactive communication
  • Manages expectations of sponsors, stakeholders, and project team regarding scope of work and responsibilities
  • Develops requirements and cost projections for projects and monitors project budget 
  • Contributing to the development, materials (training videos, user guides, release notes) and execution of the user training programs, conducting structured and ad hoc training/demos as required
  • Responsible for vendor relationships related to products and support for projects
  • Responding to business inquiries about the project and other duties as assigned

Person Specification:

  • Qualification or relevant professional experience in Business, Finance, Real Estate or IT
  • 5+ years’ experience managing projects within a financial services organisation (B2B, highly regulated environment)
  • Experience delivering large scale global software projects working in a diverse and remote project team
  • Programme/ project management professional certification advantageous (eg. PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM Practitioner)
  • Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders and presenting to groups
  • Ability to influence and motivate the project team and stakeholders towards the project objective
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented attitude
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) in English
